Please be patient as we build our network and website. We are planning the following:

1. We have had for some years a Q&A aimed at people in the field. The aim is very simple; farmers have questions. There is no one they can turn to for advice and help. They turn to their smart phone or a simple laptop. They type their question. The system locates the best person among the 250+ people who have offered to help (and we have chosen because they have the right experience) to give you a possible solution. The system requires local intermediaries to be willing to intervene between the farmer and the website. If there is no willing intermediary, the system breaks down. But, as more connectivity reaches more and more parts of sub-Saharan Africa, we will re-establish the networks.
    

2. By putting grassroots projects in touch one with the other, we will establish systems of communication between people at the very frontline. We believe that local people have some of the answers and some outsiders similarly have some suggestions that might be highly relevant. A problem shared is often a problem that can be more easily addressed.
    

3. We are examining ways by which local Communities of Practitioners (COPs) can be created. We wish to enable the local person who is highly knowledgeable on thing to do with legumes to become the leader of a particular COP. Similarly, the person who is highly knowledgeable with cereals to become the leader of a cereal COP.
    

4. We will shortly have a newsletter that covers the key elements of the different projects. We know of one project that is seeking more sources of macadamia nuts for which they have a market in the UK. We will put all producers of that nut in touch with the particular buyer.
